Why did Devin become a REALTOR? First of all, the all caps feels like yelling but that’s cool. I bought a house 2 months before COVID and it changed my life. I believe property is the ultimate hardware project and a great way to build wealth. It’s about ownership and creative opportunity.

What did Devin do before real estate? In the before times, I worked in tech at companies including Apple, Bottle Rocket, Citi, and Michaels. I studied the way humans interact with technology, built web sites, and wrote copy. And then the chatbots came and wrecked the plan. Now I want to build on something that continues even when the battery dies.

What does Devin know about construction? I’ve managed residental construction projects, planned high-end home theaters, and configured equipment for smarthome, climate control, IoT, and networking. I even worked with Welch | Hall Architects, designers of the Holocaust Museum.

What is Devin’s favorite home upgrade? The recirculating “instant” hot water system from Taco. The system uses valves and a pump to retrofit a conventional house using the cold water side as a return. It’s an upgrade you can appreciate every time you shower or wash your hands.
